Volunteer commentators will guide you within the Museum. Please tell us your preferred time and other requests when making your reservation. We normally recommend a period of about one hour.
*Explanation on exhibition is available for individuals and groups alike.
*This is not a guided tour, but explanation on exhibition is available upon request.
Hand Paper Making Workshop: cancelled
We will make handmade postcards using recycled raw materials from milk carton paper. (The contents are the same as the Hand Paper Making Workshop held every Saturday and Sunday.)
*The Workshop is open to groups of 10 or more persons.
*Reservations cannot be taken for times between 10:00-13:00 on weekends.

Important points and requests when reserving Explanation on exhibition/Hand Paper Making Workshop
- Please reserve at least 2 weeks before the date of your planned visit.
- When visiting as a group, we recommend having a preliminary inspection in advance. After finalizing your reservation, up to 2 persons can enter the Museum free of charge for the preliminary inspection. Please tell us your preferred date and time in advance.
- Explanation on exhibition is given in Japanese.
- The Hand Paper Making Workshop is 100 yen per person.
- Please note that certain requests may not be possible to satisfy due to museum management circumstances.
2) Use by school organizations
Various paper-themed learning experiences are available as off-campus studies, including “Process to make paper”, “Paper and recycling”, “History of paper in Japan and the world”, “The Oji region and the paper manufacturing industry”, etc.

Important points and requests when making reservations for school organizations
- Please reserve at least 2 weeks before the date of your planned visit.
- Please contact us if you would like to visit the Museum with an assistive vehicle, etc.
- Elementary/junior high school student organizations (with at least 10 students) that have previously reserved can enter the Museum free of charge provided that they are led by teaching staff.
